MapSan is the website of the Maputo Sanitation Trial — the first rigorous, controlled study to examine the health impacts of high-quality shared sanitation, delivered in Maputo, Mozambique by WSUP. The site presents the trial's context, research partners, and landmark results — including a 31% reduction in child stunting — in a clear, engaging way, with full English and Portuguese language support.
I designed and built the site from the ground up while working closely with the WSUP team — translating a complex, multi-year research programme into an accessible experience for researchers, funders, and the wider public.
